The Mega Food Processing Park at Amtala, South 24-Parganas, West Bengal is promoted by Bengal Salarpuria Eden Infrastructure Development Company (P) Ltd. (BSEIDC).
BSEIDC is a joint venture company formed by the Salarpuria Group, the Eden City Group and West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation Limited (WBIDC), the nodal agency of the Government of West Bengal (GoWB) for the industrial development of the State. The registered office of BSEIDC is located at 7, Chittaranjan Avenue, Kolkata 700072.
The Mega Food Processing Park is coming up under the Mega Food Park Scheme of MoFPI, Govt. of India and is based on a demand driven and pre-marketed model with strong backward and forward linkages and a sustainable supply chain. The primary objective of the project is to facilitate establishment of an integrated value chain, with processing at the core and supported by requisite forward and backward linkages.
The Mega Food Processing Park is being set up on a parcel of land admeasuring about 85 acres out of a plot of about 125 acres. The remaining 40 acres shall be used for developing residential and ancillary support infrastructure for people working in the Mega Food Processing Park as well as other interested buyers.
It is envisaged that the Park shall have the following facilities:

Fully serviced plots of different dimensions measuring 0.5 acres and upwards. These plots shall be exclusively used for setting up individual manufacturing / service units.

A ‘Krishi Bazaar’ with marketing yards etc. for agro products.
